Body fat. Most people wouldn’t mind losing a bit (or a lot) of it. There are plenty of popular weight loss plans, detox cleanses, and fitness challenges that deliver impressive short-term results, but often these programmes are unable to deliver sustainable results for the long term.

At Sust! Health, we are all about empowerment. We teach the four ‘S’ approach to fat loss (Simple, Sensible, Scientific, Sustainable) to kick-start our guests on their journey to successful long-term weight management.

Join us in beautiful North Devon for a healthy fat-loss focused weekend of fitness, yoga, hiking, cold dipping, talks, and a satiating nutrient-dense menu designed to jump-start your body’s innate capability to tap into its’ fat stores (yay) without losing muscle or experiencing hunger, deprivation, or lack of energy.

Several targeted talks will get straight to the science of fat loss, bust the popular myths out there, and show how the science of fat loss can be practically applied in the real world in a simple, sensible and SUSTainable way.

This is a retreat for both men and women….it is fantastic for couples who are keen to battle the bulge together, and it is also suitable for people who do not need to lose weight but are just looking for an action-packed, life-affirming health boost!

NATALIE

Natalie from Sust! Health has spent more than 18 years in the fitness industry and 10 years specifically in the weight loss retreat industry. She became fascinated with the subject of weight loss after witnessing the deeply emotional fat loss struggles and frustrations experienced by thousands of people. Natalie combines her life-long passion for food, movement and health science to help people avoid the dreaded ‘yo yo diet rollercoaster’ and cut through to what ultimately yields results for the long term in a healthy and sustainable way.

MILLY

Milly from ‘Move with Milly’ is a personal trainer, online health influencer,  and an experienced manager and teacher in the weight loss retreat industry. She brings her passion and expertise in resistance training to the fat loss equation and is a strong advocator of the importance of building and maintaining muscle mass in the quest for optimal body composition.  Milly is passionate about making resistance training accessible and enjoyable for all, and her ‘Ladies that Lift’ classes were an instant hit in the London gyms.

FIT

Strength training is the name of the game when it comes to body composition. Building and maintaining muscle mass is important for long-term health and longevity, but it plays an even more crucial role when it comes to losing fat. Milly will guide you through a series of short, simple, and balanced strength workouts throughout the weekend using basic equipment and body weight with the aim of igniting your enthusiasm for muscle-centric fitness, so you feel empowered and inspired to continue the journey.

Hiking is an incredible fat loss facilitator, especially the kind of hiking we do in North Devon! If you enjoy the outdoors and appreciate beautiful natural scenery then the North Devon coastline will capture your heart. Hikes will form the main part of the day on Saturday and Sunday and are between 4 and 8 miles long depending on your level. Spectacular autumnal views from the coastal paths, river trails and moorlands never fail to ensure that the hikes will be an absolute highlight of your retreat experience.

FLOW

Cold dipping in wild swim spots are a magical and memorable part of the retreat, and often leave such a lasting impression on our guests that they become addicted to cold water swimming!

Yoga is the perfect activity to balance the more strenuous fitness activities of strength training and hiking. Gentle stretching, mobilisation and relaxation are exactly what is needed to unwind physically and mentally after a full day on retreat.  

FUEL

Tiny plates of artfully presented raw vegetables, salads, teas, shakes and juices are what a lot of people expect to see on the dinner table when they sign up for weekend of virtuous fat loss deprivation. This is NOT what you can expect on any Sust Retreat, but especially not on a retreat designed to maximise sustainable fat loss. Instead you can expect to enjoy an extremely nutrient dense, satiating menu that will crush cravings and leave you satisfied and energized whilst ensuring you achieve a slight calorie deficit. Organic seasonal vegetables combined with locally and ethically sourced fish, meat and eggs forms the basis of the ‘no frills’ Sust fat loss menu and ensures that the protein and nutrients required for sustainable and enjoyable fat loss are delivered in a simple and delicious way. Vegetarians and vegans will be catered for to achieve similar and delicious results. 

TRAVEL

Avoid those airport blues and the uncertainty of International travel in the current environment. Travel direct to Woodlands Guesthouse, Lynton in your own private car, with free parking on site.

COVID-19

This retreat will strictly comply with Covid-19 government guidelines. The current ‘rule of 6’ restriction does not currently apply to the hospitality industry in the UK. Despite this however, guest numbers have been restricted to 4 couples or twins (maximum 8 guest capacity) to ensure appropriate social distancing can be practiced. Each couple or pair will have their own ensuite bathroom and shared accommodation will not be offered to guests who do not know one another and do not share a ‘bubble’. All recommended hygiene procedures will be put in place to ensure guest safety.

In the event the event has to be cancelled due to changing regulations, guests will be given a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to a future retreat.
