Natalie from Sust! Health has spent more than 18 years in the fitness industry and 10 years specifically in the health retreat industry. Natalie combines her life-long passion for food, movement and health science to help people achieve vibrant health in a healthy and sustainable way.
Lesley is a self-confessed, highly qualified fitness fanatic and has taught most things fitness related! She is an experienced personal trainer and sports massage therapist.
Over the last few years she has become a great advocate of the benefits of cold water immersion and enjoys wild sea and river dipping most days in the beautiful seas and rivers of Exmoor.
Hiking– Buff up your hiking boots and prepare for a weekend of incredible coastal, moorland and riverside hikes straight off the doorstep. This venue is renown for some of the the most breath-taking scenery that the UK has to offer. Hikes will form the main part of the day on Saturday and Sunday and are between 4 and 8 miles long depending on your level.
Fitness – Resistance training, mobility, core training, circuits and HIIT classes are all for the taking this weekend. Classes are adapted to suit all fitness levels.
Cold dipping– Revitalise your whole body with numerous wild swimming opportunities in magical, natural swim spots. Warning- you may become addicted!
Yoga is the perfect activity to balance the more strenuous fitness activities of strength training and hiking. Gentle stretching, mobilisation and relaxation are exactly what is needed to unwind physically and mentally after a full day on retreat. Natalie’s approach to exercise reflects her passion for healing through movement and combines her love of Pilates, flow yoga, fitness, and restorative yoga.
In keeping with our food philosophy, we will celebrate local, organic, seasonal produce and you can expect to enjoy a balanced, nutrient dense menu that will leave you satisfied and buzzing with energy. Organic, colourful plant foods combined with high quality animal food (fish, meat, eggs and dairy) ensures that the protein and nutrients required for optimal health are delivered in a simple and delicious way. We proudly source animal foods from local companies and farms. Vegetarians and vegans will not miss out and will be offered excellent and highly nutritious alternates.
Avoid those airport blues and the uncertainty of International travel in the current environment. Travel direct to Woodlands in your own private car, with free parking on site. Alternatively, if you wish to travel by train, Woodlands guesthouse is a 40 minute taxi journey from Barnstaple station.
This retreat will strictly comply with Covid-19 government guidelines. Guest numbers have been restricted to 4 couples or twins (maximum 8 guest capacity). All recommended hygiene procedures will be put in place to ensure guest safety.
In the event the event has to be cancelled due to changing regulations, guests will be given a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to a future retreat.
