This enriching, 3-night “Phoenix Rising” Retreat boasts Luxury ensuite Guesthouse accommodation in the picturesque village of Lynton, nestled within the majestic Exmoor National Park, surrounded by the breath-taking beauty of the North Devon Coast,

There is a reason why the North Devon Coast is renown as a hikers paradise! The wild beauty of Exmoor National park is unparalleled and the panoramic vistas along the rugged coastal trails are nothing short of breath-taking.

We have two spectacular guided hikes in store for you over the weekend that will be sure to invigorate your body and captivate your soul.

There is a shorter and a longer hike option to cater for different fitness levels. Hikes will typically be 3-4 hours long (they are worth it!) and between 4-8 miles long depending on the option you choose. 

The vast expanse of Exmoor National Park provides the perfect setting to embrace the powerful energy of the Phoenix Rising this weekend and get you ready to conquer new heights!


Whether you are a seasoned yogi or just beginning your yoga journey, join us for a transformational experience on the mat! Christian will guide you through a fusion of yoga postures, breath-work, and guided meditations that empower you to release old patterns, let go of what no longer serves you, and rise into your full potential!

The morning flow yoga will be sure to awaken and strengthen the body, ignite your core, and cultivate a sense of grounding and balance. The evening restorative yoga will gently calm the mind, soothe the body, and bring a profound sense of serenity and peace. Leading you through some gentle stretches and supported postures, Christian will create a haven of relaxation where the mind can unwind and the body can heal.


You will also get opportunity to experience a signature “Rising Phoenix” Transformational Breathwork Journey.

Christian will guide you through an immersive breathwork journey that will utilise consciously connected breathing techniques, wireless “Silent Disco” headsets, and eye pillows to create an immersive container that will facilitate a personal and spiritual transformation.

Breathers will be guided on a journey to consciously let go of the past to heal, grow and transform. Breathwork can support a number of challenges that someone can face in their life and comes with a number of benefits, including; increasing positive emotions, releasing negative emotions, releasing trauma and reducing stress. Transformational breathwork is an incredibly powerful and profound experience that has the ability to unlock and transform your true self.


Christian is the owner and founder of the popular online yoga and fitness studio DailyPractice.me.

His approach is grounded in science after studying a BSc(Hons) Applied Sports Science degree. His passion for movement, breath work and meditation shines through in all his classes and he takes great care to ensure his yoga classes is accessible and relatable to everybody.

His clear and concise tuition is delivered with a confidence acquired after serving as a British Army Officer, and he never fails to create a positive, supportive, motivational and fun energy that is focused on developing health and wellbeing. 


Get those muscles pumping and your heart beating with a dynamic mix of resistance band workouts, mini rebounding and Pilates. We make fitness FUN at Sust health retreats! We focus on simple and effective forms of exercise that prime your muscles and your metabolism for the rest of the day and that you can continue at home to build muscle, physical resilience, and enjoy a well-rounded and balanced fitness regime.


Natalie is a yoga, pilates, and fitness instructor based in North Devon and the owner and founder of Sust! Health Retreats. She has enjoyed an extensive career in the health retreat industry both as a teacher and manager and she is dedicated to motivate, inspire, and educate people through unique and exceptional health retreat programmes based within Exmoor National Park.

Natalie will be hosting this event alongside Christian and can’t wait to share her passion for movement and nutrition during this exciting event.

Resistance bands


Cold water immersion in secret swim spots along the North Devon Coast will take your breath away (in the best possible way). Nature is at the heart of the Sust! experience so if you are a lover of rivers and the sea, and you are open-minded about trying cold water immersion, then this weekend provides a brilliant opportunity for beginners and seasoned cold dippers alike, to reap the many benefits of this practice in a supportive and safe environment. Be warned….you might become addicted!!


Lesley is a qualified cold water therapist and educator. Her passion for cold water dipping has lead her to research deeply into the topic and she enjoys sharing this knowledge and personally coaching small groups in and around Exmoor National Park at her favourite wild swim spots. Lesley is also a Nordic Walking instructor, Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness teacher.



Prepare to have your socks blown off with a nutrient-packed, seasonal menu showcasing local Devon produce. The Sust! menu proudly provides quality dietary protein to stabilise blood sugar and facilitate muscle synthesis. Ethically sourced seafood, meat, eggs and dairy will feature in most meals.

The Sust! kitchen team beaver away in the kitchen for days prior to the retreat simmering bone broth, slow-cooking stews and soups, dehydrating nuts, seeds and crackers, and sourcing the very best produce from UK farms that form the basis of the SUST! food ethos.

Plant-based eaters will be not be disappointed as all our meals are exploding with colourful plant foods and our Vegetarian and Vegan menu is equally satisfying and delicious.

Informative nutritional talks and practical demonstrations impart simple, take-home tips and knowledge that you can implement right away at home.


Nestled in the exquisite West Lyn Valley in Exmoor, Woodlands is a luxurious boutique guesthouse that offers a perfect retreat. Originally built in 1882 for a prosperous London gentleman and his family, this charming detached Victorian property has a fascinating history, having been owned by the Church, served as a private school for evacuees during World War II, and operated as a hotel in the 1960s.

The property holds a 4.5-star rating and features five luxury ensuite rooms. Its strategic location provides easy access to prominent attractions like the Valley of Rocks, Watersmeet, the South West Coast Path, Lee Bay, Woody Bay, and The Two Moors Way. The quaint village of Lynton is a 10-minute stroll away along a pleasant, wooded track. 

If you appreciate tranquillity, the melody of birdsong, the murmur of a woodland river, and captivating valley views, Woodlands Guesthouse will appeal to you. 

For allocated down time, there is a comfortable and cosy lounge, upstairs ‘snug’ area, an onsite hot tub and Infra-red sauna, making Woodlands the perfect place to RETREAT YOURSELF 😉 


Travel direct in your own car and park in the onsite carpark. If you prefer to take the train, Lynton is a 40 minute taxi ride from Barnstaple Station, or 75 minute taxi ride from Tiverton Parkway. We do our best to connect guests travelling by train to facilitate taxi-sharing.

The retreat begins on Friday at 3pm (arrivals from 2pm) and will kick off straight away! The programme runs until 11am on Monday morning 🙂
